Marie-Aude Thpaut appointed head of CNP Assurances

The board of directors of CNP Assurances appointed Marie-Aude Thépaut as general director of the group on Thursday, replacing Stéphane Dedeyan who became chairman of the management board of La Banque Postale last October.

Ms. Thpaut, 40, was previously director for the Europe part outside France of CNP Assurances.

An actuary by training, the new general director joined the public insurance company at the end of her studies in 2006, before taking charge of an actuarial department in 2011 and in 2014 that of the insurance risks department, within the risk department.

Her rise was then extremely rapid: she became director of the supervision and coordination department of the subsidiaries in 2020, director of performance management in the financial department in 2021 then director of Europe (excluding France) in 2022.

Since June 2022, CNP Assurances has been a 100% subsidiary of La Banque Postale, itself owned by the La Poste group controlled by the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) within a large public financial center.

The insurer has more than 6,500 employees and posts a net result of nearly 2 billion euros for 2022.
