Marie-France Pisier: what relationship did she really have with her sister Évelyne?


Guest of France Inter as part of the “Boomerang” program on January 7, Camille Kouchner came to talk about a subject dear to her: family ties. The opportunity to return to the relationship between his late mother, Evelyne and the latter’s sister, Marie-France Pisier.

In his book La familia grande, published in Le Seuil last January, Camille Kouchner revealed a bit of his family tree. While her book comes out in pocket format, the lawyer went behind the scenes of her intimate writings at the microphone of Augustin Trapenard in Boomerang (France Inter) on January 7. The opportunity to talk about the bond between her mother, Évelyne Pisier, disappeared in 2017 and his sister, Marie-France Pisier, the star of Antoine and Colette (1962), dead by drowning in 2011. “They were very close. In their complicity, in their fight against the outside world, in their ambitions, in their path …”, Thus enumerated Camille Kouchner.

Often described as tumultuous, the relationship between Évelyne and Marie-France Pisier nonetheless remained strong, in particular thanks to Paula Caucanas, their mother, as Olivier Duhamel’s daughter-in-law indicated: “They were united in the love they had for their mother. ” And to continue echoing his own experience: “This is something for us that is very strong, because I think that the next generation, mine with my cousins, is also united in the love we have for our mothers. ” As a reminder, Paula Caucanas was suicidated in 1998, two years after her ex-husband Georges Pisier, leaving their daughters deeply upset.

Continuing his interview with Augustin Trapenard, Camille Kouchner also underlined thekindness from Marie-France Pisier to his sister’s grandchildren: “Like my mother, she was a role model for my children. […] She was absolutely generous, I found her sensational.
