Marie Nasemann, 32, and Sebastian Tigges were engaged for over two years, they have been married since May 25, 2021 and are currently waiting for baby number two, a daughter. It was clear to both of them that they wanted a prenuptial agreement. What exactly is in it, they now report in their podcast “Drei ist ne Party!” and on Instagram.

In addition to all sorts of beautiful new snapshots from the wedding, which Marie celebrated in an unconventional wedding dress, the environmental activist also informs her followers about what she and Sebastian have contractually agreed with regard to their marriage – and the possible failure of it. Although the contract, as Marie quipped at the beginning, “has still not been signed”, the modalities seem to have been clarified. “As useful as the ‘classic’ model of the community of gains in marriage is, the model was not sufficient for us and so we tried to find the model that was right for us,” writes the 32-year-old in her post.

“It’s always worth talking about money”

When drawing up the marriage contract, both Marie and Sebastian wanted to “avoid disputes within the marriage and in the event of a divorce,” said the “Fairknall” author. Of course, neither of them hope that their marriage will fail, but it is important to both of them “to be clear about our finances and to feel that we have been treated fairly”. For both of them, these are “absolute cornerstones of a happy relationship.”

And so Marie and Sebastian agreed on a model: “All the money we earn belongs to us as a family, regardless of who does care work and who is gainfully employed. Everyone has a small monthly free time allowance (for shopping, hobbies, savings, etc.) ), which is not counted in the event of a divorce and neither of us may have to sell his company in the event of a divorce in order to pay off the other. ” In the event of a divorce, no one has the right to receive long maintenance payments from the other. They hope that they will “be motivated to stand on their own two feet professionally and not be dependent on others.”
