Marie Trintignant: this scene that she finally refused to shoot because of her children

On Wednesday January 26, 2022, Arte is broadcasting “Marie Trintignant: your broken dreams”, a documentary directed by Nadine Trintignant, Marie’s mother. In the latter, she paints a poignant portrait of the actress who died in 2003. Through archive images, Nadine Trintignant thus reveals the wildly endearing woman that was Marie, but also the formidable actress. Moreover, if she has always given herself 100% in her roles, there is a time when Marie Trintignant has backtracked.

During the filming of the film “Les marmottes” with Jean-Hugues Anglade, the actress indeed refused to shoot naked on the balcony after seeing her children. “When we were filming I had to kill myself naked and I fell from a balcony. But I saw two of my sons go by from afar, I had Roman and Paul at the time, and I said to myself that I I couldn’t do that anymore. Even when they turned their heads they couldn’t see me but me seeing them I said to myself I stop, I can’t do it anymore” entrusted Marie Trintignant. Note that at the time, the young woman was able to count on the support of Jean-Hugues Anglade for the nude scenes. “He was less embarrassed than me. He brought me my bathrobe right away” she added. According to her, she said to herself that after this film released in 1993 she “would have nothing more to do with it”. However, quite the opposite has happened.

As a reminder, Marie Trintignant had four biological children. The first, Novel, was born in 1986 from his union with drummer Richard Kolinka. In 1993, very much in love with the comedian and actor François Cluzet, Marie Trintignant gave birth to her second son baptized Paul. Leon, her third child, arrived in 1996 during her affair with Mathias Othnin-Girad and jules, born in 1998, from his ydille with Samuel Benchetrit.
