British television is releasing a new documentary Marilyn Manson (54) will produce. The documentary is intended, among other things, to trace Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, into the limelight and shed light on his role as a rock star. In addition, the allegations of abuse against the singer are at the forefront of the production.

Serious allegations against the singer

Actress Evan Rachel Wood (36), who was in a relationship with Manson for several years, was the first to go public with serious allegations against the rocker at the beginning of 2021. At the time, she accused Manson of abuse. Several women subsequently made further allegations. Manson vehemently denied all allegations. A lawsuit filed by model Ashley Smithline against the musician was, among other things, according to the US magazine “People” Was rejected at the beginning of 2023.

“I’m so afraid of this person”

Just recently Wood spoke on the “Navigating Narcissism” podcast about her relationship with Manson. She then convinced him to let her go. The “Westworld” actress felt that “that was basically what I had to do.” Wood had to study the singer for years to understand “his gaslighting and manipulation.” “And I just knew that if I walked away from him, I would never get out of it or it would be my decision to run.” She had to “play dead” in order to convey to him that it was his idea to let her go.

“I’m so afraid of this person. I’ve been threatened so many times, either with blackmail or with violence – and if I stay here because I’m too afraid to leave, I feel like I’m dead anyway,” was Wood’s emotional state at the time . “Staying felt like a kind of death sentence,” she explains. But leaving was also scary “because something could happen to me or he could come after me.” The actress got to the point: “Either way, I feel dead, so I might as well try to escape.”

Previously unpublished material and interviews

In the new documentary, several women who have accused Manson will have their say. Fans of the singer, insiders from the music industry, lawyers, a former bandmate and the 54-year-old’s best childhood friend will also appear. There will also be exclusive audio recordings from interviews with Rolling Stone magazine, archive material and previously unpublished photos.
