“We rejoice in victory”

“We are delighted with the victory in the Austrian legislative elections of the FPÖ, our ally in the European Parliament. After the Italian, Dutch and French elections, this groundswell which supports the defense of national interests, the safeguarding of identities and the resurrection of sovereignties, confirms the triumph of the people everywhere”, reacted the president of the RN group to the Assembly.

Herbert Kickl’s Freedom Party (FPÖ) scored a historic success on Sunday, obtaining 29.1% of the vote, a jump of 13 points compared to the 2019 vote, according to projections based on the count of more than half of the ballots. But Herbet Kickl, with whom no party wants to build a coalition, is far from assured of accessing the chancellery or even the government.
