Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gets a big patch, here’s what’s changing

Yes, Mario Kart 8 is not dead. Far from it since despite the end of the waves, the game continues to be enriched with new patches. This is what we know.

While this is the end of new content for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it’s not the death of the game. Nintendo recently released version 3.0.1, following this month’s major content update with Wave 6 of the Course Pass Booster. This new update is more modest, but it fixes several issues likely introduced in version 3.0.0.

Issue fixes for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Here are the details of the fixes made, according to the official Nintendo support page:

Hello artist

In any case, it’s the end of the waves. Indeed, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game system has been enriched by an ingenious wave system. The latter added twelve cups, totaling 48 new tracks, bringing the total number of tracks in the game to 96. The majority of these tracks are remasters of tracks from other Mario Kart games, including Mario Kart Tour. These circuits benefit from clear visual improvements and musical arrangements. Since the fourth wave, the pass has also introduced eight new playable characters, all from other games in the franchise. We can say that the game has had a good life…
