As the second wave of DLC races has just arrived on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, players have been able to get their hands on “”clues”” pointing to the return of several old circuits. Unsurprisingly: a large majority comes from Mario Kart Tour !
All the leaks for future Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC races
The latest news from the side of Mario Kart 8, 4 cups are available through the DLC. They include almost exclusively covers of old circuits, especially from the mobile opus of the series. Even the only “unpublished” race in the pack is finally already arriving, a week apart, in Tour.
However, this revelation came as no surprise. Via an early oversight by Nintendo, players had been able to guess the exact origin games of all of the Booster Pack races. Since some circuits only had a “??? associated, we could predict twists on the Big N side. All in all, excluding the two waves already available, we can therefore classify the remaining races by game:
SNES : Rest 1 | GBA : Rest 3 | gamecube : Rest 4 |
DS : Rest 2 | Wii : Rest 4 | 3DS : Rest 2 |
The biggest prize is with Tour, with 10 remaining races to which we can add 6 with the description “??? », relating to the game. This is particularly the case of the Ninja Dojo (wave 1), the Cité Sorbet (wave 2) or the Mont Festif (to be determined).
Introductions that reveal a good part of the races of the DLC!
However, that’s not all! With the release of Wave 2, players didn’t wait to dive in for information where Nintendo wouldn’t normally let them. Thus, recordereader discovered the introductory notes of some races. In total, 14 are now well identified!
In addition to an abundance of Mario Kart Tour, we especially notice the end of the circuits of the Nintendo 64 opus and the return of favorites, such as the Route Arc-En-Ciel 3DS or Maple Treeway. Again, these last two will be based on their Tour appearance but we can at least appreciate a nice selection of classics.
In any case, we will have to wait before getting our hands on these new races. With an interval of 3 to 4 months between each wave, you can last until the end of 2023, the deadline announced by Nintendo.
