Many celebrities will be honored on the Walk of Fame in 2022 – including Carrie Fisher. Mark Hamill congratulates his deceased colleague.

In the coming year, 38 celebrities will be honored with one star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The chosen ones include Carrie Fisher (1956-2016), who died unexpectedly almost five years ago. “Star Wars” legend Mark Hamill (69) congratulates his late colleague, who became famous as Princess Leia, with a touching post on Instagram.

He sends “a lot of love and a very special one-finger greeting” to the “incomparable, hilarious and irreverent force of nature” that Fisher was. In addition, he affectionately refers to her as his “universe sister”, whose star will shine forever. With the “1-finger greeting”, the 69-year-old alludes to the outstretched middle finger that Fisher shows in one of the photos in the post.

These stars also get a star

While Mark Hamill was honored with a star in Hollywood in 2018, Carrie Fisher will now receive the award next year. Almost 2,700 stars already adorn the “Walk of Fame”. Celebrities have been honored for a wide variety of services in show business since 1960. In addition to Fisher, the late rapper Nipsey Hussle (1985-2019) is also awarded posthumously.
