Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart go wild on Netflix in Me Time!

Subscribers can now discover Me Time, finally alone?, a good-natured comedy carried by Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart.

What is it about ?

While his family is away, a stay-at-home dad takes advantage of his first solo days in years to catch up with his party-loving friends.

Friends for life

Take Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart, add a good dose of humor, schoolboy gags and pee-poo jokes, end with a nice moral and a good lesson on friendship: these are the ingredients of Me Time, the latest buddy movie signed Netflix. If the distribution and the scenario seem straight out of the famous algorithm of the platform, this film is nonetheless an effective summer entertainment.

Me Time reverses the conventional roles in film and television: Kevin Hart plays a family man who thrives in his role but who is pushed to take time for himself (not the super advice of the world when you see the results). We only regret the way Me Time ridicules stay-at-home dads.

This good-natured comedy is signed by a specialist in the genre: John Hamburg has in the past written the screenplay for My stepfather and me as well as its two sequels. We also owe him that of the crazy Zoolander.

It remains to be seen whether Me Time will be a success on the platform. It must be said that the previous production with Mark Wahlberg – Spenser Confidential – is one of the most viewed Originals on the platform. As for Hart, he is co-producing this feature film through his company, as part of a successful deal with Netflix. Suffice to say that the SVOD giant has put all its eggs in one basket.
