Market: Airbus deliveries fell to 127 aircraft in Q1-sources

PARIS (Reuters) – Airbus deliveries reached 127 aircraft in the first quarter, a decline of between 9% and 11% that reflects pressures on the global supply chain, industry sources told Reuters.

Deliveries are down 11% compared to the 142 physical deliveries made in the same period last year, and down 9% on an adjusted basis (140 devices a year earlier). Airbus restated two deliveries last year to account for Western sanctions against Russia over the invasion of Ukraine.

Airbus delivered 11 wide-body aircraft in the first quarter, including 5 A350s, 10 A220s and 106 A320neos, the sources said.

Airbus declined to comment until an official release on April 11. The American competitor Being will publish its deliveries on the same date.

Airbus has managed since the beginning of the year to gradually reduce the gap in deliveries compared to last year. But the target of 140 deliveries for the first quarter was challenged by continued difficulties in the supply chain, the sources said on condition of anonymity.

Airbus plans to deliver 720 aircraft this year.
