Market: Beginning of last session in perspective


(CercleFinance.com) – The Paris Bourse is heading towards an opening at half mast for this last session of the year, in view of the CAC40 futures down by around 0.4% to 7135 points, the day after a slight decline on the other side of the Atlantic (around -0.2% on the Dow Jones and the Nasdaq).

‘A progression at the start of the session ran out of steam at the close. Trading volumes fell to a 2021 low this week as much of Wall Street extended its holiday break, ‘Wells Fargo explains.

The Californian bank nevertheless underlines that if the S&P 500 fell by 0.3% on Thursday, it reached its 70th all-time high for 2021 the day before, the second annual record in its history behind 1995 (77).

This last session of the year promises to be fairly calm in Paris, especially since it will come to an end, like every year, around 2:00 p.m. For now, the CAC40 has posted a gain of just over 29% since the start of 2021.

On the securities side, Vinci announces an upcoming issue of new shares reserved for employees in France as part of its savings plan, an issue that will take place at the end of a subscription period that will take place from the 1st January to April 30, 2022.

The rapid diagnostic tests company Biosynex announces that at the end of the exercise period of its BSARs allocated on June 23, 2020, 8,685,927 BSARs have been exercised (i.e. 95% of the total), resulting in the creation of 377,649 new shares at a price of 10 euros.
