TAIPEI (Reuters) – Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics maker, is building a manufacturing plant in Mexico to assemble Nvidia’s GB200 “superchips”, senior executives said on Tuesday. Taiwanese company.

Foxconn, Apple’s top supplier for iPhones, benefits from the rise of artificial intelligence because it assembles the servers used for AI processing. A boom that also benefits chip manufacturer Nvidia, which largely dominates this market.
The GB200 “super chips” are a key component of the American group’s next-generation Blackwell computing platform.
At Foxconn’s annual technology day in Taipei, the group’s chairman, Young Liu, told reporters that the factory being built in Mexico would have “very, very huge” production capacity. He did not give further details.
He also said the company’s supply chain was ready for the AI revolution, adding that the company’s outlook for the current quarter was strong.
Foxconn reported record third-quarter revenue on Saturday.
