* The Dow Jones gains 2.15%, the S&P-500 1.92% and the Nasdaq 1.79%
July 15 (Reuters) – The New York Stock Exchange ended higher on Friday, buoyed by encouraging results and indicators that allowed the indices to rebound after a generally poor week.
The Dow Jones Index .DJI gained 2.15%, or 658.09 points, to 31,288.26 points.
The broader S&P-500 .SPX gained 72.78 points, or 1.92%, to 3,863.16 points.
The Nasdaq Composite .IXIC advanced / fell for its part by 201.24 points (1.79%) to 11,452.42 points.
Among the indicators that drove the stocks higher was retail sales which came in better than expected.

In values, the title Citigroup CN was particularly illustrated (13.23%), taking in its wake the banking compartment.
On the oil market, WTI stood at $97.62 (+1.92%) and Brent at $101.07 (+1.99%).
The dollar was down -0.49% against a basket of currencies .DXY a few minutes after the close of Wall Street, while the euro EUR= stood at $1.0085 (+0.69%) .
On the bond market, the ten-year paper US10YT=RR fell 2.5 basis points to settle at 2.9337%. Its five-year counterpart US10YT=RR fell 0.7 basis points to 3.0563%.
