Market: SES-imagotag denounces the new Gotham City report and files a complaint

PARIS (Reuters) – SES-imagotag announced on Friday the filing of a complaint with the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) against Gotham City Research, a specialist in short selling, after the publication by the latter of a new report on the financial situation of the French leader in electronic labelling.

SES-imagotag also seized the Financial Markets Authority (AMF) after the publication of this second report “which contains nothing more than the pursuit of false and deliberately misleading accusations”.

“As with the first publication published on June 22, this second part contains numerous and gross inaccuracies which have the sole purpose of manipulating and taking advantage of a possible decline in the price of SES-imagotag’s share,” the group said. in a press release published after the Paris Stock Exchange closed, adding that he would publish “in the coming days an equally complete and detailed rebuttal of this second publication”.

The SES-imagotag share collapsed by almost 60% on June 23 after the first doubts expressed by Gotham City Research on the true accounting situation of the group.

On the other hand, it jumped 31.6% on Friday, the tone of Gotham City Research’s second report having been deemed less severe by investors.
