Markie Post died at the age of 70 after suffering from cancer for many years. She became famous thanks to her role in “A Colt for All Occasions”.

The US actress Markie Post died on Saturday at the age of 70 as a result of years of cancer. Her manager confirmed this to the “Deadline” portal. In a statement from the family, it is said that one is above all proud of the person behind the well-known actress.

Post was a person who baked elaborate cakes for friends and showed their loved ones “how one can be friendly, loving and forgiving in an often harsh world”. Post leaves behind her husband, writer and TV producer Michael A. Ross (65), two daughters and a five-month-old granddaughter.

Known for her role in “A Colt for All Occasions”

Post was best known for her portrayal of bail agent Terri Michaels in 61 episodes of the cult series “A Colt for All Cases”. She played a leading role in a series as lawyer Christine Sullivan in “Harry’s Wondrous Criminal Court”. Post had other engagements in success series such as “Hard but warm”, “The unbelievable Hulk”, “Love Boat”, “The A-Team” or “Scrubs – The Beginners”.

In film productions, however, the big breakthrough was denied. She had her biggest role in the cult comedy “Crazy About Mary”, in which she played the mother of the lead role of Cameron Diaz (48). Her last assignment was in 2017 in the Christmas romance “Four Christmases and a Wedding” on the side of Arielle Kebbel (36) and Corey Sevier (37).
