“Aggressive remarks towards France”
“A quick tour of the social networks of this organization allows you to see how aggressively they make comments about France and French culture, blaming it and overwhelming it with all the ills,” explained the minister delegate at the microphone of Europe 1. “I am quite shocked”, she added.
On November 18, Helena Dalli had received the Femyso on November 18 in Brussels. An association that some consider as a relay of the Muslim Brotherhood. “With my colleague Clément Beaune, Secretary of State in charge of European Affairs, we have decided to contact the Commissioner in order to question her and that she can provide us with information to tell us what led her to receive this organization and more broadly what is its position vis-à-vis this organization”, explained Marlène Schiappa.
“Not a euro from the Republic for the enemies of the Republic”
The guest from Europe 1 also defended Emmanuel Macron’s record in the fight against associations making Islamist proselytism. “Until 2017, it was considered in the doctrine that there was either terrorism or nothing. President Macron decided to work on the breeding ground of terrorism and on separatism by naming Islamism, by fighting against these associations who are the fake nose of Islamism. Europe must do this work. I wonder to see associations that we want to dissolve or that have been dissolved in France that go knocking on the door of European offices to receive ‘money and grants.’
These are the measures that the minister delegate wants to see applied at European level. “We in France have taken our responsibilities by saying: not one euro from the Republic for the enemies of the Republic. If you have acquaintances with radical Islamism, we cannot finance you with French money. Now , this work must be done at European level and this is the meaning of our approach with Clément Beaune.”
