The woman, aged 60, and her husband, aged around 70, were discovered by the gendarmes in two different rooms of their residence. Their deaths “would have taken place between November 1 in the afternoon and November 2 in the morning”. “The man was in possession of a gun, which was seized, and had left a farewell note addressed to his children, in which he spoke of unfaithful and lying women,” the statement said. “In the state of the elements currently collected, neither was known to the police or the justice system, and no previous violence had been reported,” adds the prosecutor.

The investigation was entrusted to the research brigade of the gendarmerie of Epernay.
