“Marriage at first sight”: Lisa and Mario also announce their separation

After the finale of “Marriage at First Sight” in December 2021, several marriages that looked so promising when they last met the experts failed. In the couples who decided to marry in the final, but then drew the line, Lisa and Mario now also join Anika and David, Selina and Michel and Ralf and Manuela.

Both just announced their split on Instagram. “After giving ourselves a great deal of time to get to know each other better and to find out whether science can turn into love, we’ve found that the last spark we need just can’t be conjured up. […] And along the way we realized that it wasn’t enough for a love relationship,” reads a longer statement. However, Lisa and Mario insist on leaving the project as very good friends. In a joint video, they explain further: ” We realized why we were matched. It was an amazing base there. The experts did an excellent job.” They just simply lacked love.

ZDF confirms two more “Wetten, dass…?” shows with Thomas Gottschalk

In November 2021, over 14 million viewers tuned in again when “Wetten, dass…?” returned with an anniversary show. A rating that speaks for itself. And to which the broadcaster apparently wants to build. As ZDF entertainment boss Oliver Heidemann explained, it should continue in 2022 and 2023.

“Together with Thomas Gottschalk, we have decided to continue writing the story of “Wetten, dass…?” From now on, all betting ideas are welcome again,” says Heidemann. On the show’s official website, the show is announced for fall this year. An exact date will be announced in the coming months. But applicants can already submit their bet proposal. “There are no limits to the type of bets,” the announcement said. Whether Thomas Gottschalk, 71, and his co-moderator Michelle Hunziker, 44, will be there again remains uncertain for the time being.
