While season 6 of Married at first sight is in full swing on M6, Damien’s little sister is at the heart of a harassment campaign on social networks. According to the person concerned, the production of the M6 program would have given a bad image of her true character.
“I felt humiliated by the passages where I am seen, especially when the sequences are broadcast out of context”. Shocked by the image she reflects during certain episodes of Married at first sight, broadcast every Monday evening on M6, Damien’s little sister wanted to clear things up on her Instagram account. Alexia says that many scenes where she appears very unhappy during Damien and Pauline’s wedding ceremony were in fact completely changed during the editing and that these would have been filmed before the arrival of the bride and groom, when she had been waiting for several hours under the Gibraltar sun.
“I was scandalized to see the images they were able to make of me. I can’t stand that this portrait that was made of me can be broadcast at national scale”, she continued. It must be said that since her appearances on television, the young woman has been the target of a hate campaign on social networks. Since the broadcast of the last episodes, she continues to receive messages of insults from viewers dissatisfied with her very closed and impassive character in the face of the happiness of her big brother.
Alexia: “I felt humiliated and persecuted”
It’s not the first time something like this has happened. Like other speakers before her, Alexia complains that the production of the show only used the sequences where she appears dissatisfied, cutting his moments of joy in the editing. However, Damien’s little sister did not hide that she was not very comfortable with the format of Married at first sight. “I didn’t necessarily want to come because I didn’t want to be on television. The deal with M6 is that I didn’t have to appear in close-up nor in an interview”she also commented.
If this is true, the show therefore did not respect its choices: Alexia appears many times in front of the camera during her brother’s wedding. “I felt humiliated and persecuted, it’s not normal to have so many close-ups on me. They sought the buzz and the sensational. I just wished that my will not to participate in the show was respected, it would have saved me so much violence“.
