Monday, May 9, viewers of M6 were able to discover a new episode of Married at first sight, and thus attend the wedding ceremony between Eddy and Jennifer. Difficult to ignore the length of this sequence, made particularly difficult by many moments of discomfort.
Eddy (Married at First Sight): “You’re dressed like stewardesses”
It all started with the arrival of Eddy in the space dedicated to the ceremony, and already occupied by the family of Jennifer the future bride. After the first greetings and remarks on the pleasant physique of the young man, this last, intimidated, feverish and sweaty was scrutinized from all sides by the guestswhose viewers could hear the remarks on the present tension.
It was one of Jennifer’s friends who decided to break the ice in the face of Eddy’s lack of words, with a “what’s your name”, which will be enough to launch future hostilities. After a few banalities exchanged on his first name and his age, Eddy was asked about his profession in events.
Eddy (married at first sight): “You’re all uniform (…) It’s not mean”
It was at this precise moment that everything went wrong. Failing not to appear taciturn, the season 6 candidate tried to use a few jokes, which were not to the taste of Jennifer’s friends: “All that is logistics, security service, hostesses… Besides, you could work for us, you’re dressed like stewardesses“he swung to the group of young women, because of their identical outfits.
Far from unblocking the situation, this reflection only made the atmosphere heaviermaking her go from awkward to tense if we are to believe the faces of the young women, who remained unmoved: “That’s not very nice”retorted one of them.
Following this failed attempt, Eddy, who recently confided in his weight loss, sketched a nervous smile before being confused in justifications: “I’m talking nonsense, sorry… It’s just that you’re all uniforms… It’s not mean”he declared in front of the young women visibly annoyed by his explanations.
