Marseille: a 17-year-old boy injured by a gun

The young man was taken care of by the emergency services, his life is not in danger.

A 17-year-old teenager was shot and injured on the night of Wednesday to last Thursday in the 14th arrondissement of Marseille, learned Le Figaro from a police source, confirming information from Provence.

According to this source, the facts took place around 3 a.m. near the city of Rosiers. The young man told the police that he was in a car, when two armed individuals burst in andjumped on it“. He then suffered several shots, a bullet hit him in the right arm. Supported by firefighters, he was taken to hospital but his vital prognosis was not engaged. The two suspects fled.

Contacted by Le Figarothe Marseille prosecutor’s office confirmed that an investigation had been opened of the heads of “attempted murder by an organized gang and participation in a criminal association with a view to the commission of a crime“. The investigation was entrusted to the services of the judicial police of Marseille.

Six homicides since the beginning of the year

The city of Marseille has been plagued by a wave of violence since the beginning of the year. The prosecution told the Figaro that the city had recorded six homicides and thirteen cases of organized gang assassination or attempted murder since January 1, 2023.
