Marvel: 2 million admissions for Thor 4 at the French box office

Thor Love and Thunder is still at the top of the French box office for the 3rd week in a row!

BOX-OFFICE FROM JULY 28 TO AUGUST 2, 2022: THE TOP 10

TO REMEMBER

Thor Love and Thunder, released on July 13, is continuing its strong momentum: it attracts just over 400,000 additional spectators this week, ie a total of 2.12 million admissions. If Thor 4 remains well attached to the first place, it still loses 29% of its spectators in the space of a week.

Thanks to this performance, it exceeds the score of the first Thor (1.7 M) and should tickle The World of Darkness (2.3 M) and Ragnarok (2.5 M). In second place, Minions 2 shows a very good stability, however suffering a 33% decline.

The animated film imagined by Illumination studios gathered more than 350,000 fans for its 3rd week. It is slowly approaching the bar of 3 million spectators. As a reminder, The Minions 1 ended their career with 6.58 million admissions, the 2nd highest score of 2015, behind Star Wars episode 7.

THE SUPER ANIMALS HIT THE BOX OFFICE

On the 3rd step of the podium, Krypto and the Super Animals starts with a bang with more than 330,000 curious people. The animated film manages to surpass Top Gun Maverick, which continues to be a hit, still bringing together nearly 200,000 speed junkies. The feature film with Tom Cruise should cross the bar of 6 million admissions in the coming weeks.

Ducobu President, the 4th part of the saga carried by Elie Semoun, has experienced a 26% drop in attendance, attracting around 188,000 people this week. In all, the feature film gathered 737,277 spectators.

It should get closer to the score of Les Vacances de Ducobu (1.058 million) but it will be difficult to worry about the figures of the first and the 3rd opus (1.5 M). As for Liar with Tarek Boudali, he manages to pass the milestone of 500,000 admissions.

At the bottom of the table, happy retirement 2 with Thierry Lhermitte and Michèle Laroque fell by 41%, struggling to gather 92,000 additional spectators. Jurassic World 3 and Elvis close the march, still present in the top 10 more than 6 weeks after their releases.
