Disney+ is launching a new series: Vision, a Marvel hero from the very beginning, will return in 2026.

Good news for all Marvel fans: Vision is getting his own spin-off. The powerful android, played by Paul Bettany, 52, appeared for the first time in “Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron”. He then appeared in two more films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and got a series named after him on Disney+ with “WandaVision” in 2021. As “Variety” now reports, the streaming service is now reviving Vision in a new series.

Two years ago, a spin-off called “Vision Quest” about the artificial life form was planned, which then came to nothing. But now work on the project has begun. The so-called Writer’s Room for the series was launched this week, where the individual episodes are drafted. The as yet unnamed series is scheduled to be released in 2026, in which Bettany will take on the role of Vison again. Terry Matalas, 48, the executive producer of “Star Trek: Picard,” will serve as showrunner.

Vision could be in “Avengers 6”

Paul Bettany’s character died in 2018 in “Avengers: Infinity War”. In “WandaVision” he returned twice: once as the ghostly creation of his lover Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen, 35), then as an android in white ghost form and with no memory of his previous life. In the series finale, the two versions fought against each other. According to “Variety”, the new series will take place after these events, when Ghost Vision explores his new purpose in life.

With the series’ release in 2026, Vision could be revived just in time for the finale of the current era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “Avengers 6,” the finale of the current multiverse saga, will hit theaters on May 5, 2027.
