“Marvel, it’s just not for me”: this comic book fan actor does not like MCU films

Canadian actor Seth Rogen, a big fan of comic books who notably worked on the series “The Boys” and “Preacher”, is however very little fond of Marvel films. He recently explained why.

Actor Seth Rogen, a big fan of comic books, recently brought his passion to the screen by working on the series The Boys, Preacher and Invincible. Suffice to say that we imagine delighting in Marvel films. Well no ! In an interview recently granted to Total Film, the Canadian declared that he was very little fond of these superheroic productions. And there’s a reason for that…

“I think that Kevin Feige (the president of Marvel Studios, editor’s note) is a brilliant guy. And I think a lot of the directors he’s hired to make these movies are very good directors.”says Seth Rogen first. “But as someone who doesn’t have kids… It’s more kid-oriented, isn’t it?”

“There are times when I’m going to watch one of these movies and, as an adult without kids, I’m going to be like, ‘Oh, this just isn’t for me'”, continues the 40-year-old actor. An actor who does not however spit in the soup.

“Truly, without Marvel, The Boys wouldn’t exist or be interesting”admits Seth Rogen. “I’m aware of that. I think if it was just Marvel in the market it would be bad. But I think it’s not, clearly.”

Seth Rogen will lend his voice to Donkey Kong in the animated film “Super Mario Bros”:
