Marvel quiz: do you know the real names of the Avengers?

Do you know the Marvel Cinematic Universe inside and out? Do you know absolutely everything about Iron Man, Hulk or Black Panther? Ant-Man, Spider-Man or Black Widow have no secrets for you? While Doctor Strange is broadcast this evening on TF1, the time has come to check your knowledge of the Marvel universe by trying to find the names and surnames of the following characters.

Directed by Scott Derrickson, worn by Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton and Mads Mikkelsen, Doctor Strange tells the adventures of a talented surgeon forced to give up his prestigious career after a terrible car accident. He then left for Nepal to meet the Elder there and learn the mastery of the mystical arts.

When the project was launched, Benedict Cumberbatch was far from the only candidate to play the famous Doctor Strange. Indeed, among the many other actors who were expected to interpret the wizard, there are notably Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keanu Reeves, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ethan Hawke, Matthew McConaughey, Oscar Isaac, Tom Hardy, Colin Farrell or even Ewan McGregor.

Ant Man

In order to prepare to embody the superhero, Paul Rudd had to follow intensive sports training, as well as a strict diet. Exercises that have largely borne fruit, so much so that according to Michael Douglas, the costume designers of the film were forced to review their copy. Indeed, Paul Rudd having gained too much muscle mass, he could no longer fit into his costume.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Before being able to embody the characters of the film, some actors in the cast had to go through some physical transformations. So Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula, had to completely shave her head. Benicio del Toro, interpreter of the mysterious Collector, agreed to have his hair bleached. As for Chris Pratt, alias Star-Lord, he followed a diet for six months, and lost nearly thirty kilos.
