Thanos and the Goonies
As most of you most likely know, beneath the purple, digital face of the Titan Thanos is that of Josh Brolin. An American actor whose first steps in the cinema will undoubtedly rekindle a small flame of nostalgia in the hearts of spectators who grew up in the 80s, since he was part of the famous Goonies band alongside Sean Astin, Ke Huy Quan or Corey Feldman. Among his other notable films, we can also mention No Country for Old Men by Coen, Sicario by Denis Villeneuve, or more recently (still at Marvel), Deadpool 2.
A duck among the Avengers?
Keep an eye out for the Avengers’ final assault on Thanos’ armies at the end of Endgame. In the midst of the superheroes we all know, from Iron Man to Black Panther via Thor, Black Widow and Spider-Man, we can indeed glimpse the presence of the so-called… Howard the Duck. A character unloved by fans since the feature film dedicated to him in 1986, and who had already made several small appearances in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Thanos and Kratos
In the game god of war released in April 2018 on PS4, and in which Kratos abandons the columns of Greek temples for the snow of the Nordic kingdoms, the most observant players may have spotted a little nod to Thanos and his famous Glove of the ‘Infinite. By completing the quests offered by the Dwarf Sidri, one can indeed recover an artifact called the Broken Glove of Ages, equipped with 3 receptacles (instead of 6) and allowing the use of powers similar to those of the Mad Titan.
