This is the big rumor of the moment, Marvel Studios would have proposed to the famous director Steven Spielberg, the project of the next Fantastic 4 film.
As director Jon Watts announced he was leaving the upcoming Fantastic Four project to “take a break” from the superhero genre, many Marvel fans wondered who the studio would take on to replace him.
After directing the hugely successful Spider-Man trilogy, led by Tom Holland, which enjoyed great success and introduced the multiverse for the first time with the presences of the other Spider-Mans, Jon Watts has clearly become the darling of Marvel.
But when he stepped down from directing the Marvel Family’s next big project in the MCU, the studio then announced that it would launch an extensive search to find a new director.
And according to a recent report, that search included one of the biggest names in cinema.

According to Sampson, Marvel wanted to see if they could convince Spielberg to take on Fantastic Four, but the iconic Jurassic Park director has already made it known he’ll be retiring after his next film, The Fabelmans.

While the odds of getting a director of Spielberg’s caliber for the next Fantastic Four movie seem relatively slim, it does show just how broad Marvel has reached.
While the MCU has made a name for itself thanks to new and lesser-known directors taking their first steps into the blockbuster arena, however, expectations for Fantastic 4 will undoubtedly be higher than for anyone else. any movie in the series outside of the Avengers movies.
