The season Days of Future Past of Marvel Snap is launched this March 7, 2023! New maps, new locations, new season pass and new strategies: here is all the information you need to know before setting out again to conquer the ranks of the card game.
This March 7, 2023 marks the launch of the new season of Marvel Snap. MODOK and the Quantum World leave their place to the season Days of Future Past. Players lose three ranks in the standings, as is the custom each new season.
The Season Pass Days of Future Past
This season’s star card is Nimrod (Or Nimrod in French), 5 energy and 5 power, which, when destroyed, adds a copy of itself to the other slots.
Ideal in combination with shuri (which doubles the power of the next card played) and Arnim Zola (which destroys a card on the slot where it is revealed and adds a copy to the other slots). The destruction archetype, as a whole, is emphasized.
So it’s a safe bet that we risk coming across a lot of Cosmo (which cancels the triggered effects) and especiallyArmor (which prevents the cards on its slot from being destroyed)…
The new cards in Marvel Snap
Alongside this card, available now by upgrading to Premium (for a dozen euros), or later when it integrates pool 5 cards in the next season, three other cards are gradually coming into the game (also in pool 5 , therefore difficult to obtain):
- Master Mold (March 14): Effectively revealed, adds two Sentinel cards to the opponent’s hand.
- Negasonic (March 21): When you play a card here, it and the previous one are destroyed.
- Kitty Pryde (March 21): You can return this card to your hand to give it +2 power.
Finally, MODOKstar of the previous season, also joined the pool 5 cards today.
3 new locations are coming to Marvel Snap
New locations will also be coming to the game over time.
- Forge of Orchis (March 8): When you play a card here, a Sentinel card is added to your hand.
- Asteroid M (March 15): When you play a 3 or 4 cost card, it is moved here.
- Krakoa (March 22): on the 5th round, the game takes control of the game and plays the cards of the two players in their place.
Finally, two small novelties have been added. New locations that arrive on Wednesdays are now only highlighted for 24 hours (instead of the previous 48 hours). This had already been the case since the middle of the previous season. But above all, the game team is taking advantage of this start of the season to do a test: each time you reach a new rank in the ranking (ranks 30, 40, 50, etc.), you earn 50 bonus cubes (instead of of 10 currently).
