Marvel: Will This ‘Breaking Bad’ And ‘The Mandalorian’ Star Become The New Professor X?

• Marvel has met with The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito to discuss a role.
• The actor is in talks for Magneto, Doctor Doom and Professor X. Nothing has been confirmed yet.
• If Esposito could choose one of the roles, it would be Professor Charles Xavier.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is growing and growing and growing! The release schedule for phase 5 is massive and the finale of phase 6 will close the entire Multiverse saga. Now ‘The Mandalorian’, ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’ star Giancarlo Esposito has revealed that he could join the MCU on the way to ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.

So the actor, who is mostly cast as a villain, met with Marvel and talked about what role he could play in the upcoming films. He reveals that it would be about villain roles like Magneto and Doctor Doom, but also about the hero role of Professor X.

He doesn’t reveal whether an agreement has yet been reached, but if he were allowed to choose a role, he would like to inherit Patrick Stewart (“Star Trek: Picard”) as Professor X. An X-Men movie hasn’t been announced yet, but Disney now has the movie rights to the mutants, so it’s only a matter of time.

With Giancarlo Esposito, the film would already have a prominent leading actor, whether it’s Magneto or Professor X. Should he become Doctor Doom, Esposito would appear in the announced Fantastic Four movie on November 8, 2024. Victor von Doom also plays an important role in “Avengers: Secret Wars”!
