See the discontinued development of Marvel’s Avengers being announced will not have come as a surprise to anyone. It is rather its longevity that will have been surprising, with new characters who were certainly not frequent, but who came as promised to complete a rather substantial roster for a game of this kind. Although for a time it was thought that these additions would continue despite the end of the major expansions, the Winter Soldier was ultimately the last member of the team to see the light of day. Which shouldn’t have been the case, as you can imagine.
The last two planned heroines go by the wayside
? Patch 2.7.2 of Marvel’s Avengers includes outpost banter between Jane Foster and 3 other heroes—Winter Soldier, She-Hulk, and Captain Marvel. All of Jane’s lines are recorded and done. Bucky is “finished” but there’s an error I list below, while Jen and Carol are both TTS.

Before the killing of Marvel’s Avengers is pronounced, several clues suggested that she hulk could join the cast. This had been confirmed in a half-word via a beautiful blunder last summer, with the confirmation that an actress was working for the role.
What is confirmed by insider information Miller (which has always been reliable in relation to this particular game), which states having found bits of dialogue related to Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, in the files of the latest patch of the game. Conversations between the all-green lawyer and Jane Foster (Mighty Thor) are visible, but are now only traces of a future that will never exist for the game.
There are also several occurrences of name of Carol Danvers, which therefore suggests that Captain Marvel should also have joined the cast of Marvel’s Avengers. There again, no surprises, with the direction taken by the game’s scenario, the presence of the heroine was almost certain and her integration could undoubtedly have allowed Crystal Dynamics to put a logical end point on the whole project and on the epic of Kamala Khan. But again, these are plans that have been brushed aside following the suspension of future updates. Never mind.
