Since its announcement last summer during the gamescom 2021, Marvel’s Midnight Suns was rather discreet, in particular due to a postponement of several months, but its marketing campaign will now accelerate since its release has been set for October 7. The tactical role-playing game Firaxis and 2K Games building on the heritage of Midnight Sounds will therefore feature a whole bunch of superheroes from the house of ideas in front of Lilith and his allies corrupted by his magic. Among the main characters, we will find in particular Captain Americawho has been entitled to several promotional videos in recent days.
To begin with, it is a quick overview of gameplay which is proposed to us showing him confronting members ofHydraobviously without showing all the tactical part with the maps that will characterize our experience.
Comes next a showcase, the first of a long series, which serves to further introduce its capabilities mainly revolving around his shield, allowing him to block the blows, to attract enemy attacks to him by provoking enemies and of course to hit hard. We can get close to Steve Rogers with our character Hunter, giving him passive bonuses that are then used on the battlefield. A special card Midnight Suns even allow him toperform a devastating flaming charge.
Finally, it’s a video summarizing the history of Captain America to which we were entitled, very instructive if you do not necessarily follow the comics and appreciate this superhero, some of these adventures having served as material for the feature films of the mcu. Be careful with spoilers if you are going to read some stories like secret empirewhich is still relatively “recent”.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns will therefore be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Epic Games Store and Steam) on October 7, while the Switch version should appear later, but no longer appears on the official site… You can pre-order it from €69.99 on Amazon.
