Marvel’s Midnight Suns: Nico Minoru demonstrates his magic in his gameplay preview

Here we go again for a new week under the sign of Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The superheroes now well known thanks to the mcu having all been presented, Firaxis and 2K are now working to introduce characters a little less highlighted, even if we are entitled to Blade the last days. Following Magikit is another magic user who is therefore in the spotlight, Nico Minoruwhich you may have discovered in the series Marvel’s Runaways if it weren’t for the comics, where she appeared just two decades ago. Interestingly, it is precisely the actress Lyrica Okano who lends her voice after having embodied her on the screen.

What to remember from this wiccan for now, it’s that she uses a scepter in combat to channel her magic and cast devastating spells.

First appearance: Runaways #1 (2003)

Story

Nico Minoru grew up in an affluent Japanese-American family dedicated to charity…or so she believed. In truth, and to Nico’s amazement, his parents were powerful wizards, members of an evil organization called the Circle. After seeing them kill a young girl, Nico allied herself with the other Circle teenagers, disowned her parents, and ran away from home.

Nico discovered the extent of their corruption when she tried to rescue a friend captured by the Circle: her own mother tried to kill her by piercing her with a magic staff. But instead of hurting her, the weapon fused with Nico’s body, slipping out of her mother’s control and revealing the teenage girl’s gift for occult magic. Today, Nico has become an overpowered witch, but her magic is sometimes chaotic and unpredictable. Her powers still follow her will, preventing her from harming allies or healing enemies, but wielding them with precision remains a challenge.

The output of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is set for December 2 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and later on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. You can pre-order it on Amazon from €54.99.
