Insomniac Games and Sony are weaving new threads around the highly anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2this time starring Venom.
The PS5 exclusive has indeed had a fresh trailer telling us more about the story of this sequel, which focuses particularly on the very popular symbiotic supervillain. As a bonus, Sony also released a video of the console and the DualSense in the colors of the game.
The symbiote comes to spit his Venom
After a long sequence of gameplay closing this year’s PlayStation Showcase, the title expected on October 20th only on PS5 tells us more about its history through a short, but intense trailer centered on the story.
We already knew that Peter Parker and Miles Morales were going to have a fight with the charismatic Venom, but this is all the more telling when you see the beast in pixels and in action. Except this time it won’t be the classic Eddie Brock in the symbiotic suit.
Let us recall that in Marvel’s Spider-Man first of the name, Harry Osborn, the best friend of Peter Parker, was at the point of death due to a terrible illness. To treat it, all means are obviously good, even extraterrestrial ones.
The famous symbiote will therefore shake up this little world and be at the heart of the plot of this new opus by infecting in particular our dear Peter in passing and by stirring up the thirst for hunting of a certain Kraven. A whole program that we will therefore be able to sort out in 4 months.
The PS5 is carving out a new costume
In addition to this trailer centered on the game itself, Sony also took the opportunity to announce a limited edition PS5 bearing its colors (in a rather beautiful way, by the way). The official PlayStation 5 controller included in the bundle also gets a makeover, as you can see below.
The bundle will of course include the game in question, but unfortunately not in a physical version. It will indeed be content with a numerical code to enter to download and install it.
For those who already have the console and the controller, it will also be possible to acquire the panels stamped Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and the matching DualSense separately. Pre-orders will open in this sense on July 28.
