According to leaks, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is in the pipeline for Insomniac Games. The studio could surprise fans with a format seen in video games, but which will divide.
The hacking of Insomniac Games servers has taken on a whole new dimension since this morning. After the author expressed his willingness to publish the information obtained on the Web, he put his words into action. He thus revealed important details about Marvel’s Wolverine with supporting concept art. The casting of the game – with the characters and the actors to play them – has, for example, leaked. In this massive leak, we also learned of the studio’s plans for the next few years, and among the lot, we find a certain Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could surprise when it’s released
Leaks on four PS5 / PS6 exclusives Insomniac Games have just (re)confirmed the existence of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. According to the details, the continuation of the adventures of Peter Parker and Miles Morales are planned for the fiscal year 2028 But another image making the rounds on the web contains some other rather intriguing information. According to this cliché, the studio could in some way imitate Marvel and in particular its latest Avengers films.
In what way? Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could simply be divided into two parts, with separate launches therefore, which suggests that the content could be even more substantial or the ambitions much greater. Part 1 would be released at the end of 2027, while part 2 would arrive a year later, for the end of 2028. A bundle is obviously planned for 2029 to bring together the two games. If such a format, quite unexpected for a video game, is confirmed, we may have to expect a big cliffhanger. The death of a character? It’s a theory that is already emerging and which will not only make people happy.
The second revelation that raises questions is the mention “MP” for “Multiplayer”. According to what is written, a multiplayer could be released jointly with Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. Could this be the famous multiplayer project from Insomniac Games? It is still too early to draw conclusions, especially since we do not know if it still exists, but perhaps it is a question of the many service games in development at PlayStation. PS5 or PS6 are not clearly mentioned, however, it does list PC and PS+ in terms of total sales projections. Which implies that sooner or later, MS3 will no longer be 100% exclusive to the PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 6. But in itself, this is not really a surprise and it corresponds to the new strategy put in place by Sony for several months.
Venom, Ratchet and Clank and X-Men games on PS5 / PS6?
Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 isn’t Insomniac Games’ only PlayStation exclusive. The new leaks indeed specify that a Marvel’s Venom game is in the pipeline. This would be the first title to land with an estimated release window of fiscal year 2028. A new episode of Ratchet and Clank would follow suit for fiscal year 2029. Somewhere during fiscal year 2030, we will probably find the superhero with adamantium claws, Wolverine, as part of an X-Men game. Finally, during a previous leak, we also saw references to Spider-Verse. A future software? Maybe, unless it’s the multiplayer title mentioned above.
