Mary Trump: Your uncle is said to have made racist comments

New revelations about Donald Trump: The US president is said to have made racist and anti-Semitic statements in the past.

US President Donald Trump's (74) niece Mary Trump (55) continues to deal publicly against her famous uncle. In an interview with the US broadcaster "MSNBC" about their revelation book "Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man" (German: "Too much and never enough: Like my family the most dangerous man in the world created ") the 55-year-old described the US President as" viciously racist "and again made further serious allegations against him.

When asked by moderator Rachel Maddow (47) whether Donald Trump had ever used the "N-word", Mary Trump replied: "Yes!" Her uncle has also said "anti-Semitic insults" in the past. "Nobody should be surprised at this, considering how viciously racist he is today," said the 55-year-old author. Such statements were even the order of the day in the Trump family.

At the end of the interview, Maddow read from a White House statement regarding these allegations: "This book is a lie, plain and simple. The President doesn't use these words," it says.

Is Mary Trump Afraid Now?

Maddow then asked Mary Trump whether she was afraid for her after all the revelations: "I'm not afraid. I take appropriate precautionary measures because I don't pretend about possible scenarios," said the author. Her family is "pretty vengeful," Trump said. Her uncle's supporters are also very "passionate": "Whatever consequences the whole thing will bring, I am ready to deal with it."

"Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man" was released in the United States on July 14. According to Trumps publisher Simon & Schuster, 950,000 copies had already been sold just one day after the publication. This included digital and audio versions of the book, as well as pre-orders. It will be released in Germany on August 31.

The Trump family wanted to stop publication

Mary Trump is the daughter of Donald Trump's older, already deceased brother Fred Trump Jr. (1938-1981). In the 240-page disclosure book, Mary Trump wants to shed light on "the dark history of her family", according to the publisher. The niece of the US president described in the book "a nightmare of trauma, destructive relationships and a tragic combination of neglect and abuse".

Robert Trump (born 1948), another author's uncle, had tried to stop the publication of the book with a lawsuit. Mary Trump allegedly violated a 2001 confidentiality agreement with the book. In early July, a New York Court of Appeals partially lifted a preliminary ban on publication. The reason: The confidentiality declaration does not apply to the publisher.
