Masked Ballad: a new unmissable musical event in Paris

At a time when new restrictions are imposed on the music sector (seated concerts only, capacity of 2000 people…), Tourtoisie Music is launching a new concept: the Masked Ballad.

The first edition of this meeting will take place on Sunday January 16, at the Consulate, in the 13th arrondissement in Paris, in a cocooning atmosphere. Indeed, four acoustic concerts and two exhibitions will take place “according to the waves of the Consulate’s candles and their old piano”.

An eclectic program

In terms of musical programming, we will find Anna Majidson, Thomas Guerlet, Yasmin Pigeon and Vulax. Cradled from an early age in the world of jazz, Anna Majidson launched solo in 2021, with a first EP with clean compositions. Thomas Guerlet is defined as a “subtle crossover between Gainsbourg, King Krule, Chet Baker and the Strokes “. Nothing only that !

Very young, the Franco-Brazilian Yasmin Pigeon will make her first live at Tourtoisie Music. His music, alternative, mixes jazz, drunk or the trip hop. Pianist training, Vulax accompanies many artists on the piano and was made to know on Instagram for his covers of rap songs.

Regarding exhibitions, Pi Ja My and Kovaview will share the spotlight. The artist Pi Ja Ma, who recently released the single ” Should I Call U Baby ”, will present his illustrations. Finally, Anne-Cécile Kovalevsky will present his drawings, taken from concerts. You can often spot her in concert, surveying the pits, pencil in hand. And don’t forget before you come: take your most beautiful mask!
