At the Astroworld Festival there was a mass panic with dead and injured. The pregnant Kylie Jenner was unharmed.

On Friday evening (November 5th) there was a mass panic during the appearance of US rapper Travis Scott (29) at the Astroworld Music Festival in Houston, Texas. At least eight people were killed. As a source confirmed to the US magazine “People”, Scott’s pregnant friend Kylie Jenner, 24, was unharmed.

“Everyone is shocked”

Jenner’s 26-year-old sister Kendall is also doing well. “Everyone is shocked,” reports the insider. “Kylie and Kendall were in the audience, but they’re not injured.” The rapper’s second concert, which was supposed to take place tonight, was canceled.

According to CNN, the Houston fire chief confirmed at a press conference that “dozen” were injured in the tragedy and 17 patients were taken to local hospitals. Accordingly, during the performance of Scott, who has been organizing the festival for years, there was a heavy crush that moved more and more towards the stage. “People began to fall over, passed out and that led to additional panic,” the official is quoted as saying. The concert was then canceled.

Organizer and Travis Scott speak out on social media

In the meantime, the organizer and rapper Travis Scott have spoken out personally. On Instagram and Twitter The following statement from the Astroworld Festival can be read: “Our hearts are with the Astroworld family tonight – especially with those we have lost and their loved ones.” The focus is currently on supporting the local authorities. The festival will not continue on Saturday.

The authorities also ask that all information regarding the cause of the cardiac arrest that led to the death of some concert-goers be passed on to the Houston police. “Thank you to our partners at the Houston Police Department, the Fire Department and NGR Park for their dedication and support.”

The 29-year-old rapper posted long statement on Twitter. He was “absolutely devastated” and prayed for “the families and all those affected by what happened last night at the Astroworld Festival”. Together with the city of Houston, Scott wants to help them “heal”. He ended his lines with the words “Love you all”.

A total of around 50,000 people are said to have attended the two-day festival on Friday. In addition to Travis Scott, SZA (31), Bad Bunny (27) and 21 Savage (29) should be on stage.
