Massively too fast – two injured: several traffic accidents in Tyrol

There were several crashes on Tyrol’s roads on the holiday. In one case, a Spaniard (23) confused the clutch with the brake pedal, and a motorcyclist was the leader. A motorcyclist was also injured in another accident on Thursday in Tyrol.

A holiday, nice weather – for some, a reason to go on a motorcycle tour. Unfortunately, accidents happen again and again. In Lermoos around 10:35 a.m., a biker (47) collided with a car driver (59) who wanted to turn from Innsbrucker Straße into an underground car park. The motorcyclist sustained injuries to his left foot and was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Reutte. Wanted to engage the automatic transmission. At 4:10 p.m. there was a crash in Telfs: A 23-year-old was driving through town in a car with an automatic transmission when he “out of habit “I wanted to clutch and shift” – but of course an automatic transmission doesn’t have a clutch, so instead he hit the brake and stopped abruptly. A motorcyclist (26) following behind was unable to brake in time and hit the rear of the car. He suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital in Hall by rescue. Massive speeding Last but not least, a biker (51) was again in the sights of the police, but fortunately he remained uninjured. At 3:46 p.m. he rushed along the B 181 at Achensee at 126 km/h. 60 km/h is permitted. The driver’s driver’s license was confiscated.
