Master thanks rescuers – bitch was carried into the valley after an adder bite

The good news: bitch “Bossi” is feeling better after veterinary care – her master Johann Edtinger can breathe a sigh of relief. On Tuesday, after being bitten by an adder, the mixed breed dog arranged for the Bad Goisern mountain rescue service in Upper Austria.

Dog and Herrl were on the descent from the Goiserer Hut when the adder bit in the area of the Pramesbergerrast. “I still saw the snake and even took a photo of it. Then I had to take care of ‘Bossi’. She became more and more lethargic. And I couldn’t bring them down into the valley on my own, ”says Johann Edtinger.

20 kilo “Bossi”
It’s good that the Salzburg resident, who is often out and about in the mountains with his four-legged friend, is a supporter of the mountain rescue service. The helpers from Bad Goisern immediately went to Hund and Herrl and transported the 20 kilo “Bossi” with the mountain stretcher into the valley. “Normally it would not have been buckled up,” said Johann Edtinger with a smile in retrospect. “And I would like to thank the mountain rescue team again very much!”
