Record champion Dynamo Kyiv was not spared. The 16-time national champion is currently keeping fit with training sessions in Bucharest, Romania. The games of the “Match for Peace” tour should also provide at least a marginal form of normality. Dynamo collected money for the local population with friendlies at Borussia Dortmund, Legia Warsaw, Galatasaray Istanbul, CFR Cluj and Dinamo Zagreb.

Like the other friendlies, the match in St. Jakob-Park is also intended to serve another purpose in addition to collecting donations: a number of Ukraine national players are involved with Dynamo. For the “yellow-blue” it is in June against Scotland and in the event of a win against Wales for the World Cup qualification, so match practice is required.
