  • Other Mate models could also be introduced.
  • The top smartphone is the first to appear without a Leica camera.

Huawei recently announced the launch date for the highly anticipated Mate 50. It is scheduled to be unveiled in China on September 6th. As in previous years, we could expect several variants of the mobile phone at the event. A Mate 50, a Mate 50E, a Mate 50 Pro and a Mate 50 in the Porsche design are being traded in the rumor mill.

It is still unclear whether the cell phone will only be available in China or worldwide. The launch is still exciting for fans, because the Mate 50 will be the first top smartphone from Huawei to appear without a Leica camera. Both companies had ended their cooperation, which had started in 2016, in the spring.
