This is one of the emblematic couples of season 15 of Love is in the meadow ! During the speed-datings, Mathieu had been disturbed by Alexandre. Faced with the evidence, the duo then said ‘yes’ in June 2021. After two years of love, the couple however announced their separation. Tuesday, September 13, 2022, on the set of Do not touch My TVon C8, Mathieu said with emotion: “There is still love. It’s really a separation in very good terms. We call each other every day, but it’s a different vision of life.“Seeing a photo of Alexandre, Mathieu couldn’t help but blurt out:”Look how beautiful it is!He then added:For those who know, I have an incurable disease so my life is urgent. He is 20 years younger, he has less urgency. He wants a more homely life (…) Rather than coming to the point of hating himself, that’s it.Referring to their story, he slipped:He could no longer find his place in the life that I was offering him, in this somewhat abrupt life.“
Monday, September 12, 2022, on the show At Jordan’sfor Télé-Loisirs, the bull breeder had dropped: “Today, we separate, by mutual agreement. Well, we call each other every day. We lived two extraordinary years, really. We did a lot of trips. But at one point, Alexandre struggled to find his place. I think he needed a quieter, less turbulent life. He wanted to be stable, a more traditional life.Referring to their separation, which took place at the end of August, he said:He had stayed in Deauville for a long time. He had found a contract there, he missed the races. I’m sure there’s no one. He’s a very straight guy. That doesn’t prevent me from moving forward in life and continuing with the associations. But it is a blow. It’s more of a decision on his part. But you know, when you love, you have to know how to listen to the other. He told me he still loved me.“
Mathieu: “The life I wanted no longer suited him”
Despite all the love that Mathieu and Alexandre have for each other, they will divorce this fall. “We agree on everything. He wants to live something else. I need a more turbulent life, to move right and left, to do lots of things. The life I wanted no longer suited him. I’m as faulty as him, in fact, it’s 50/50. That’s why I let him go. I am as responsible as him“, he specified. Separated from her husband, Mathieu will then have a baby on his own. He indeed confided to the journalist: “I’m having a baby solo. I organize my professional life to work from home. The decision is that I’m going to make the baby alone. So I left to give my seed (…) I do not want to bring a child into an already separated home. It is not possible.“
