Their story touched viewers… During the speed dating of Love is in the meadow, Mathieu and Alexandre fell in love at first sight. In love, it is in front of the cameras of M6 that the duo had said ‘yes’ a few months after their meeting. If the couple is very happy, Mathieu suffers from an incurable disease. Guest on the show At Jordan’sfor Tele-Leisurethe horse breeder explained: “It is a disease called Cadasil disease, which is a vicious disease, in fact, it is a cerebral arteriopathy, a degeneration of the brain. So I will end up in a bad state.“After revealing that his life expectancy was 62 years, Mathieu confided that he was already thinking about the future in love with her husband after his disappearance.
With emotion, Mathieu assured: “He’s not getting married anytime soon, that’s what he told me. Me, I’d like to find someone for him before leaving, to make sure he’s happy, that he’s not alone.” With humor, Alexandre then replied: “Now start looking, if we can try them!“Worried about losing her husband, the young man revealed in a more serious tone:”It’s going to be super complicated. We have already talked about it. Him, he says to me ‘you will have to find someone’ but I will take forever.“Knowing full well that her husband’s end of life will be difficult, Alexandre slipped:”For my part, I do not let anything show through. But I know there’s gonna be a time when I’m gonna have to change her diapers (…) It is the stage before the final stage.“
Mathieu takes antidepressants
Mathieu’s disease has the side effect of bipolarity and depression. Facing Jordan de Luxe, her husband explained: “When we first met, he didn’t know he was bipolar. And every morning, I woke up, I didn’t know who I was going to have in front of me. Was I going to have the happy Mathieu or the pissed off Mathieu? Now it is processed and their days are much easier.“As Mathieu takes antidepressants, Alexandre added with concern:”The fact that he is depressed, at some point, I tell him: ‘You should never do anything stupid.’ When the disease attacks a lot, you don’t know how you can react.“
