The multifunction cooker market is seeing the arrival of a new player: Mathon. Historically specialized in cooking equipment, the French manufacturer has been diversifying in recent years in small household appliances. It is therefore not surprising to see it position itself in this new sector, one of the last not yet invested in by the brand.
A well-equipped culinary assistant
The Mathon Multi-Function Food Processor can knead, steam, simmer, boil, grate, slice, chop and weigh. An automated program also exists for each feature. And to carry out its missions, the device is equipped with a power of 1000 W. Nearly 500 step-by-step recipes, displayed through a 7-inch touch screen, are made available by Mathon . Updates to this database will be regularly available through wifi connectivity. And to navigate between menus and recipes, a large wheel is placed in the center of the robot’s control panel.
For more seasoned cooks, it is possible to adjust the operation of the robot from A to Z. The temperature of the robot is adjustable from 37 to 130°C, spread over 20 different levels. The user also has the choice between several speeds, 12 to be precise. Finally, it is possible to launch a timer of up to 90 minutes.
Well equipped, the multifunction robot cooker has a 4.5 l bowl – 3 l useful capacity -, a four-blade knife, two graters and three steam baskets. All these accessories are dishwasher safe, except the bowl. And for more convenience, a self-cleaning function is provided by Mathon, allowing you to start a washing cycle for the tank and the utensil used.
like deja vu
However, all of these features and functionality are familiar to us at Digital. And there are no less than two robots already tested by us which strongly resemble the Mathon. Indeed, Thomson, then Schneider, both released identical devices. It is therefore the turn of the French manufacturer to offer a true copy of these robots.

A future test will confirm this resemblance. For the time being, we assume that the Mathon is positioned as a serious competitor to the Monsieur Cuisine Plus from Silvercrest, only available during operations launched by Lidl. It will be available from Tuesday, November 2 at a price of €499.99.
