The leader of the union of the left wants to be confident in the perspective of being appointed Prime Minister after the good score achieved by the Nupes in the first round of the legislative elections on Sunday. This Monday, he assured that he was “getting closer” to Matignon and called on his young electorate to go to the polls.

Matignon is still in the line of sight for Jean-Luc Mélenchon. Even more after the good score achieved by the union of the left on Sunday in the first round of the legislative elections (25.66%, just behind the majority which accounts for 25.75%). A figure also disputed by several Nupes executives who consider it undervalued. “Matignon is not moving away but getting closer”, even assured Monday the leader of France Insoumise who wants to be “quite confident”.

In the event of a left-wing majority in the Assembly, Emmanuel Macron would be forced to appoint a Prime Minister from this same majority. Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the initiator of this movement, is a natural candidate.

“There was a very good mobilization on our side”

He also reiterated his request to the young people, who abstained a lot: “Surge, this is the moment when you have full power to change everything”. “I am already proud that we are the first in the precarious categories, the poor towns”, satisfied the tribune, urging his troops to show “tenacity and constancy”.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon also responded to macronie’s attacks on his program. “There was a very good mobilization on our side so it is normal that those who did not expect this experience it badly and say anything”, tackled Jean-Luc Mélenchon, speaking “of panic” . “The level of aggressiveness, verbal abuse, manipulation serves us. The French don’t like that,” he said.
