A stylist from the "Matrix 4" team has apparently revealed the title of the next film in the popular sci-fi series.

It will still be a while before "Matrix 4" can be seen. The latest part of the series is expected to start in December 2021. Now at least the title for the first sequel in 18 years – "Matrix Revolutions", part three, was released at the end of 2003 – is unofficially known. "Matrix 4" will obviously be called "Matrix Resurrections".

That goes out of one meanwhile deleted Instagram post of an employee who, according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), is involved in the film as a hair stylist. She published a picture of a thank you card that came from director Lana Wachowski (55) and should be enclosed with a gift. In the industry, it is common for filmmakers to receive gifts from directors or producers after filming is completed.

Any indication of the plot?

"Resurrection" means "reawakening" or "resurrection" in German. Among others, Keanu Reeves (56) and Carrie-Anne Moss (53) will return as Neo and Trinity. A few months ago, the actor had already given appropriate advice in an interview with guest presenter Ronan Keating (43) on the British "The One Show" of the "BBC".

"I don't want to spoil anything, but I remember that at the end of the third part it didn't look like you were coming back," said Keating. "No, it didn't, it looked a little bleak for Neo," Reeves confirmed and assured, "Everything will be revealed."

He also revealed that there is apparently no lack of romance in "Matrix 4". Reeves said, "We have a wonderful director, Lana Wachowski, who wrote a beautiful script that is a love story. It's inspiring." In addition, the new part will not be a prequel, i.e. a predecessor. "No, no. No going back in time," Reeves explained.
