After a break of several years, Matthew Fox returns to TV. The “Lost” star is supposed to play a role in the miniseries “Last Light”.

Matthew Fox, 55, returns to the TV screen. After a break of several years, the “Lost” star plays one of the roles in the Peacock series “Last Light”. That reports “Variety”. In the five-part series, which is based on the novel of the same name by Alex Scarrow (55), he will therefore be seen alongside “Downton Abbey” star Joanne Froggatt (41).

First TV role in eleven years

It is Fox’s first TV role since 2010. He is also executive producer on the series. Filming of “Last Light” begins on September 25, according to “Variety”. Among the filming locations is the Czech capital Prague.

Matthew Fox first became known in German-speaking countries through the series “Party of Five”, in which he played one of the leading roles from 1994 to 2000. From 2004 to 2010 he was Dr. Jack Shephard starred in the series “Lost,” for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2006 and an Emmy in 2010. After the series ended, Fox was involved in a handful of films. In 2013 he played alongside Brad Pitt (57) in “World War Z” and in 2015 in “Bone Tomahawk” alongside Kurt Russell (70).
