Did Matthew McConaughey get hair implants? This is a question that bothers many fans of the actor, curious to see that his hair seems to have grown back since the 1990s. And these sleuths are not wrong on all counts: Matthew McConaughey’s hair has well and truly gained ground in 20 years, but according to the actor, it is a completely natural method that has made this miracle possible. In the late 1990s, after realizing that his hair was thinning, Matthew McConaughey says he shaved his head before starting a treatment that consists of applying a serum for 10 minutes daily. Incredible but true, this beauty routine seems to have worked for the actor. “How did my hair grow back is a big mystery.” dropped Matthew McConaughey in the pages of LADBible. “All I can tell you is that they came back. I have more hair now than I had in 1999.“

Matthew McConaughey, slandered by a doctor?

But if the comedian attributes the merit of this regrowth to the famous serum (a product called Regenix, according to his remarks on the show Live with Ryan and Kelly), he explains that some have tried to pull the cover to them, like a doctor who told an international conference on hair transplantation that it was to him that Matthew McConaughey owed his hair implants. Surprised, the actor later spoke with another doctor who wanted to take a look at his hair regrowth. “The doctor said, ‘Can I look at your hair? Can I smell it to see?'” he recalled. “I was like, ‘Yeah; man,’ and he said, ‘You don’t have implants’. I was like, ‘That’s what I said, of course not’“, tells Matthew McConaughey to the British media. Here is the truth restored!
