Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey has spoken in detail about the horror flight he had to live through with his wife.

At the beginning of last month, Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey (53) and his wife Camila Alves (41) went through an extremely turbulent flight. On the way from Austin to Frankfurt, their plane unexpectedly fell about 1,200 meters. The result was an emergency landing in Washington. Seven passengers had to be taken to a hospital.

In the podcast “Let’s Talk Off Camera” with Kelly Ripa (52), Oscar winner McConaughey has now spoken in detail about this terrifying experience. “It’s weightlessness,” the 53-year-old revealed in the April 12 episode of the audio show, reported on the “ETOnline” in advance. “Your red wine, the glass and the plates of your food just float in the air […] and then everything falls down,” says McConaughey literally.

Matthew McConaughey wasn’t wearing a seat belt

Since there was “no seat belt warning” before the event, the star was only held down by his folding table – and immediately afterwards made sure that his longtime wife Camila Alves was securely buckled. He himself was “in shock” after the horrific incident, as McConaughey revealed.
